Don’t Let It Go – Balloons

Guillemot-caught-in-balloons.jpg

Releasing a balloon into the sky seems nice at the time, but what happens once it disappears out of sight? Out of sight out of mind right?

Balloons, just like ones we keep in our home, have to come back down to earth eventually and most of the time, it’s not in the most ideal place.

So why is that a problem?

Balloons are easily mistaken for food by marine animals, particularly Sea turtles and sea birds. Not only will it then possible starve the animal, the string on the balloon can also entangle them.

Do you really need to let that balloon go?
